From the Principal

Dear Parents and Carers,
Term 4 always seems full of activity and the last three weeks have been exactly that.
Congratulations to our Year 12s, the Graduating class of 2026!
To our Year 12s, we will miss the conversations in classes and the playground, the leadership you have shown, the examples you have set, the laughter you have brought, and even those moments when you tested our patience and gave us opportunities to exercise Christ-like grace.
Some of you are absolutely ready to finish at Bayside, while others of you are not quite so confident. All of these emotions are completely normal. Excitement and uncertainty. Confidence and nervousness. Anticipation and sadness.
All of us experience those emotions when stepping into something new.
That is why I have loved our theme for this year: Flourish.
From Jeremiah 17:7-8
"Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit."
Notice that the tree flourishes not because life is easy. It flourishes because its roots are connected to living water.
The heat still comes. The drought still comes. The challenges still come.
But the tree remains strong because it knows where its source of life is found.
My prayer is that you are not simply successful, or have impressive careers, earn good incomes, collect qualifications, or gain influence.
My prayer is that you will flourish. That wherever God places you, your roots will remain firmly planted in Him. That your confidence will be in Christ. That your character will be shaped by Christ, and that your lives will bear fruit for His Kingdom.
Year 12s, you are ready for this next season!
On behalf of the entire Bayside Christian College community, congratulations on all you have achieved. We love you, we are proud of you, and we look forward to seeing what God will do through your lives.
May you go with confidence, rooted in Christ, flourishing wherever He plants you.
Congratulations, Class of 2026.
