Alumni Program

Our Vocational Major students had the opportunity recently to hear about the career pathways of three former students: Cameron Lofts (2007), Chloe Rizzo (2004) and Lachie Simpson (2012). Cameron is a Barber working at Shep St. Barbershop. Chloe is Directors Assistant and Administrative Manager at Chris Packer and Associates. Lachie is Co-Owner of Complete Style Joinery. They all shared their successes, spoke about their varied careers and provided advice to the cohort on their after-school journey. We reflected on their time at Ballarat High School, the type of students they were and what being from Ballarat High School means to them.
Cam started his career as a barber later in life after working as a car salesman and was also at Telstra for many years.
Chloe was at Woolworths for over 10 years, before applying for a reception position and 19 years later she's still at the same firm, being promoted to the position she holds now.
Lachie started at Complete Style Joinery as a work experience student when still at school. From that he gained an apprenticeship and was offered the opportunity to buy into the business a few years ago. A big thank you to all three of our former students for giving back and sharing their experiences!
If you would like to come back and share your pathway, get in touch alumni@ballaraths.net.
