Assistant Principals' Report
Rae Gittos & Matt Kirkright
We are very excited to announce that we have a new cubby house in our 'Cubby House Land'. We are still updating (and beautifying) this area, but needless to say, the addition of the third cubby house was met with much excitement. A special shout-out and thanks go to Whittlesea Secondary College, who designed and built this for us.

The School Council has approved a Mother's Day Stall at the school on Thursday, 7th May.
This event celebrates all Mums, Carers, Grandmas and Special Persons. A variety of items will be available for students to select from for their mum/special person. We anticipate this event will raise a small amount of money that will go towards school improvements.
This year, students will be invited to attend a Mother's Day Stall and select a gift for their mum/special person. Students will attend the stall with their classroom teacher at their designated time during the day. The cost per gift is $5.00, payable via the Compass Event. Students absent on Thursday, 7th May, will have the opportunity to attend on Friday, 8th May.
We will also be hosting a Mother's Day Afternoon Tea for all our Mums, Grandmas and Special Persons on Friday, 8th May at 2:45 pm in the Gym. Please RSVP by Tuesday, 5th May, using this Google Form. We hope you can join us.

In Week 5, we will commence parent/carer volunteers in classrooms.
To volunteer in classrooms, all parents/carers must complete the specific school training, which is now more closely aligned with expectations, child safety, and OHS. Thank you to those who have already completed this training.
The updated training guide is available on the School Website HERE
Once you have read the guide, complete the Google Form at the end of the presentation. Please note: all questions and check boxes must be completed for you to volunteer, in addition to having a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC).
The timeline for parent/carer helpers is as follows:
Week 2 - Parents/carers complete the online training by 3/5/26
Week 3 - Teachers will send home blank rosters to parents (Monday) who have completed the training to indicate their availability
Week 3 - Parents return the forms by Friday, indicating availability
Week 4 - Teachers to finalise the classroom roster and distribute to families
Week 5 - Parent/Carer volunteers commence in classrooms
Thank you in advance for your support.
