Principal's Report

Kaylene Kubeil

Last weekend, I had the honour and privilege of marching in the ANZAC Day march in the Whittlesea township.  This is a very meaningful experience that allowed us to reflect on and honour the service and sacrifice of Australia and New Zealand’s servicemen and women.  As we assembled alongside other schools and community groups, there was a strong sense of respect and unity.

Through walking together along the streets of Whittlesea, our students demonstrated outstanding respect and maturity. It was a reminder that ANZAC Day is a time to acknowledge courage, mateship, and sacrifice.

During the march, everyone observed a commemorative service, including the playing of The Last Post and a minute’s silence. These moments offered time for personal reflection and a deeper understanding of the day's significance.

Participating in the ANZAC Day march is not only a town tradition, but is also a valuable opportunity for our students to connect with history in a meaningful and respectful way. We are incredibly proud of how they represented our school and embodied the spirit of the occasion. We thank all families who supported this event and helped make it such a memorable experience.

As we have communicated, our 2027 enrolments are now open. We look forward to seeing many new faces, as well as some 'somewhat' familiar ones, as we welcome many siblings starting their educational journey in 2027. We are also continuing our Pre-Foundation program, which has been very successful for many years. If you have any questions in relation to enrolling at WPS, or our Pre-Foundation program, then please do not hesitate to give the office a call.
