Music Evenings Showcase Student Talent and Growth

Last week, the PAC came alive with the sound of music as our Junior and Senior Music Evenings took centre stage, delivering two unforgettable nights of outstanding student performances.

Junior Music Evening

Our Junior students demonstrated remarkable progress on their instruments throughout the year. The Junior Ukulele Group transported the audience through time with selections from the past, present and future, maintaining excellent beat and rhythm throughout their performance.

The Choir was nothing short of angelic, showcasing their development in harmonies and two-part singing. The evening also marked a significant milestone for several first-time performers, including Laney Eddy, who delivered a beautiful solo piece, and our beginner piano players, who performed with impressive precision and confidence.

Senior Music Evening

Two nights later, our Senior students took the spotlight in a spectacular display of musical talent. The evening opened with an electrifying 90s punk rendition of Advance Australia Fair on electric guitar by Hameesha Fernando, setting an energetic tone for the night ahead. The Senior Ukulele Group followed with an impressive repertoire spanning multiple eras, demonstrating advanced picking techniques and varied strumming patterns. Many students showcased their versatility by performing multiple times on different instruments including piano, flute, guitar, as well as vocals.

Both evenings were jam-packed with exceptional music that left audiences thoroughly entertained. Our students, parents, and tutors should all be incredibly proud of what was achieved. These performances are a testament to the commitment, practice, and passion our young musicians bring to their craft.
