Senior School Update

It’s been a big few weeks in the Senior School. Our Year 12s celebrated their final day in style — full of colour, laughter, and a few tears — as they wrapped up their classes and turned their focus to exams. We wish them all the very best as they tackle their final VCE assessments.
Meanwhile, our Year 9 to 11 students are preparing for their own end-of-year exams. These are a great opportunity to consolidate learning and practise exam skills ahead of next year. We’re also well into planning for Headstart, which will give students a strong launch into their 2026 studies.

Farewell to the Class of 2025
On Tuesday 21 October, our Year 12 students marked one of the most significant milestones of their life to this point as they celebrated their final day of school. The morning set the tone for a festive send-off, beginning with a lively celebration in the VCE Centre complete with a special guest DJ set by Year 12 student Baden Riedell. The energy was infectious, and students from across the school joined in to enjoy the wonderful atmosphere and share in the excitement of this significant moment.
The celebrations continued at their final school assembly, where our graduates made a grand entrance down the red carpet. They took time to reflect on the people who have shaped their journey, extending gratitude to teachers, staff, family members and peers who supported and inspired them along the way. A highlight was their final group performance, a choreographed and thoroughly entertaining dance routine that brought the house down! The morning concluded with a lovely morning tea shared with family and staff.
With VCE exams commencing on 28 October, our Year 12s sitting exams now turn their focus to this final stage of their schooling. While these assessments are important, we encourage students to remember that their value is not defined by an ATAR. The legacy they leave through their character, their friendships, their leadership, and the positive mark they have made on our school community is what truly matters.
We are incredibly proud of this group of students and the contributions they have made during their time at Cobram AGS. We wish them every success in the weeks, months and years ahead and look forward to celebrating their achievements formally at our Valedictory Dinner on Friday 21 November.
