Important Office Reminders

Early Pick Ups

At Essendon North Primary School we understand that collecting your child early may be necessary on certain occasions, however please be advised that the office is unable to support early departure of students after 2:45pm (without prior written notification to the principal).

Early pick ups are very challenging for our office at the end of the day, particularly so on Fridays with assembly. We often have parents wanting to pick up children right before the afternoon bell, and while picking them up a bit early might need to take place, we request that it be prior to 2:45pm - if you can wait till 3:15pm, then please do so.

The end of the day is a very busy time in the classrooms and in the office and we appreciate your support and understanding.

As a reminder for early pick ups prior to 2:45pm, it is very important that you:

  • Let the office know by calling 9379 3979 or sending an email to essendon.north.ps@education.vic.gov.au.

  • Let your teacher know by communicating this through a Compass email.

  • Phone the school when you are on your way so that we can ensure your child is at the office waiting.

  • Pick up your child/ren before or after lunch (but prior to 2:45pm) where possible - often students cannot hear us paging their name on the PA system while they are active throughout lunch play time (1:30pm - 2:15pm).

Your assistance in communicating any early departures with both the office and your child's teacher is appreciated and will be very helpful to all involved.

We request that all families register their child/ren with TeamKids, in the event that after school care is required. This is important as students who have not been collected from school by 3:30pm will be sent to TeamKids for supervision.

Students Leaving at End of 2026

We ask that if you and your family are planning on leaving ENPS at the end of 2026, please notify the school office via email essendon.north.ps@education.vic.gov.au as soon as you are in a position to do so (this excludes Year Six students).

Have Your Family's Details Changed?

This is a timely reminder for all families to please check that details for your child/ren as shown below are up to date in Compass:

  • Medical details

  • Home address

  • Mobile phone contact numbers

If you require any changes made to your child/ren’s details, please email the school at essendon.north.ps@education.vic.gov.au and they will be updated immediately.

If your family circumstances have changed we would kindly ask for you to contact the school’s office to arrange to update your child enrolment form so it is reflective of your families circumstances, and that each parent has their own login to Compass. This is also important as when your child moves from one government school to another over any year level and when they transition into a government high school, we transfer your child information across to the next Victorian government school.

Thank you,

The ENPS Office Team
