1/2 Learning

In Maths, we have been learning and applying addition and subtraction strategies
Using 10s frames, partitioning numbers and manipulating numbers.
In Literacy, we have been exploring Aesop’s Fables, focusing on imaginative texts and the moral of each story. We have been extending our vocabulary and challenging ourselves to use common and proper nouns, pronouns and adjectives to add more detail.
In Inquiry, we have been investigating features of our community designed to keep us safe. Researching emergency services providers, such as hospitals, fire stations and police stations, and examining safety advertisements has helped us build awareness of where and how to seek help.
In Religious Education, we have been continuing to focus on acts of kindness within our school and homes. During this Lenten season, we made promises surrounding prayer, fasting and almsgiving in an effort to become the best versions of ourselves.
In Wellbeing, we have been learning about personal and cultural strengths within Harmony Week. By identifying our strengths, embracing and celebrating our differences and valuing one another, we can continue to be good family members and friends to everyone around us.
