ACC Cross County 2008

Damian Carroll was Cross Country Coach in 2008. That year, the ACC carnival saw success for junior athletes, as Mazenod won the Junior Cup awarded to the best-performing teams in the Under 13 and Under 14 age groups.

In his report, he congratulated the Year 12 students, many of whom had been in the Cross Country team for the six years of their time at Mazenod. The 2008 captains were Aaron Holmes (Captain), Peter McCumstie (VC), and Gerard Curtis (DVC). Senior students play an important role as models and provide encouragement to the younger students.

First placegetters for each team that year were:

U13 1st – Matthew Karak

U14 2nd – Jack cummings

U15 2nd – Rehan Nazar

U16 3rd – Thomas McMorrow

U17 5th – Dennis Ackerlund

Senior 4th – Peter McCumstie
