WELLBEING

Attendance Matters at Mill Park Heights Primary School

We sincerely thank our parents and carers for recognising the importance of regular school attendance. Being at school every day helps children learn more about the world around them and plays a vital role in fostering and strengthening friendships. At MPHPS, we believe everyday skills are developed through engaging and challenging experiences — making consistent attendance key to your child’s success.

It is important to consider the long-term impact of absences. We understand that when a child is unwell, home is the best place for them to rest and recover. However, when a child is not unwell, even an occasional day off can quickly add up. Over time, these missed days can result in significant weeks of lost learning.

Your child participates in five different learning sessions each day. Lessons are carefully planned and sequential, meaning that missing even one day can make it harder for students to catch up on essential concepts and skills. Every lesson counts.

We are also continuing to focus on punctuality. Arriving on time ensures students are settled and ready to begin learning with their classmates.

🌟 Thrive! Arrive by 8:45! 🌟

Thank you for your ongoing support in helping your child make the most of every school day.
