Mordialloc District Swimming
What a fantastic effort from our school swim team at the recent District Swimming Carnival! We are incredibly proud of the way our swimmers supported one another and gave their best in every event.
A special congratulations to the following students who achieved top 5 finishes in their events:
- Alice N – 9/10 Year Old 50m Breaststroke
- Willem W – 9/10 Year Old 50m Freestyle
Lenny H – 11 Year Old 50m Breaststroke
We would also like to sincerely thank our families for their support — especially the early morning drop-offs for training sessions. Your commitment behind the scenes makes a huge difference.
A very special thank you to our parent helpers for their expert coaching, encouragement and dedication to developing our swimmers. Their time and passion are greatly appreciated.
Well done to all team members on a successful carnival!
AFL Skills with SEDA
We are excited to welcome SEDA Diploma students to our school to deliver a series of AFL skills sessions with our SJV students. This partnership provides a fantastic opportunity for everyone involved. The SEDA students are able to further develop and refine their coaching skills in a real school setting, gaining valuable hands-on experience in planning, communication and skill instruction. At the same time, our SJV students benefit from high-quality coaching focused on developing fundamental AFL skills including handpassing, marking, kicking and teamwork. The sessions are designed to be engaging, active and supportive, helping students build both confidence and game understanding.
It has been wonderful to see the enthusiasm, energy and encouragement displayed across the sessions. Opportunities like this not only strengthen sporting skills but also promote leadership, collaboration and positive sporting culture within our school.
We thank the SEDA students for their professionalism and commitment, and we look forward to continuing this valuable partnership.
Run Club
With the SJV House Cross Country on the horizon, all grade 3-6 students are invited to join the Run Club on Friday mornings. We meet at Walter Galt Reserve 8:15 AM, and students will be escorted to school once finished. Its been wonderful to see so many students get involved already.
Please let Dominique Monotti know if your child is interested, even if they may not be able to attend every week. We’d also love for parents to be involved.
