Illnesses at school
If your child presents with any symptoms of being unwell, please keep them at home to rest. We have been sending children home this week with sore stomachs, headaches, aching bones and other flu like symptoms. We have had a few confirmed cases of influenza. Please stop the spread where possible.
Parking, Traffic & Road Safety
Over the past few weeks, City of Whittlesea Parking Inspectors have been active around our school in response to a number of concerns raised by parents and our neighbours regarding parking and driver behaviour.
We ask all members of our community to show patience and common courtesy during drop-off and pick-up times. Working together will help traffic flow more smoothly and, most importantly, ensure the safety of our students.
Please remember to:
- Drive all the way to the top of the Kiss & Go zone before your child exits the vehicle.
- Never allow children to enter or exit a vehicle while it is double parked.
- Do not double park at any time.
- Do not stop, park in, or block residential driveways.
- When parking near an intersection, leave at least 10 metres between your vehicle and the intersection.
- Follow all parking signs and road rules around the school.
Never stop to let children out across the school driveway or in locations where they need to cross through moving traffic.
The busiest traffic period around our school is 8:30-8:45am and 3:25-3:40pm each day, just 15 minutes each morning and afternoon. A few extra moments of patience can make a significant difference to the safety of everyone in our community.
No one's time is more important than the safety of our children. Thank you for helping us create a safe and respectful environment for all.
Staff Carpark
For the safety of our students, families and staff, we kindly ask that parents and visitors do not walk through or park in the staff car park.
Before and after school, the car park is a busy area with vehicles entering and exiting. To help keep everyone safe, please use the designated footpaths when arriving at or leaving school.
Thank you for your support in helping us maintain a safe environment for our whole school community.
Change of Office Hours
As of next week our office hours are 8am-3:45pm Monday to Friday. All students must be collected before this time as there will be no supervision provided.
