Terry Bennet Cup

Last Friday, the school year wrapped up on a real high with our Year 9 students heading to Nossal High School for the Terry Bennett Cup—a hugely anticipated day where SCHS and Nossal come together for friendly competition, teamwork, and lots of fun. This annual event brings the two co-ed select-entry schools of Melbourne together, giving students the chance to meet new people, team up across schools, and show off their skills in a supportive, energetic environment.

Students competed in mixed house teams, pairing SCHS and Nossal houses for a great mix of teamwork and school pride. From fast-paced sports to creative and problem-solving challenges, everyone had the chance to get involved, try something new, and cheer each other on.

It was an awesome day, and it was fantastic seeing our SCHS students making new friends, working together, and having a blast with their Nossal teammates.

Final Results

• 4th Place: Apollo × Pegasus
• 3rd Place: Kororoit × Phoenix
• 2nd Place: Blackwood × Garuda
• 1st Place: Rothwell × Griffin

Huge congratulations to the yellow teams from both schools for taking out the top spot in this year’s Terry Bennett Cup! Their teamwork, energy, and enthusiasm were amazing.

A massive thank you to Nossal High School, and to all staff and students who helped make the day such a great success. We can’t wait to do it all again next year!
