New Families 2026
Welcoming Our 2026 Year 9 Cohort
Today, we were delighted to welcome our incoming Year 9 cohort for 2026 as they began their journey with Suzanne Cory High School. The transition day provided an important opportunity for students to meet their teachers and student leaders, familiarise themselves with the school grounds, and gain a clear understanding of our expectations, both in the classroom and within our wider school community.
Throughout the day, students were encouraged to demonstrate our three core values:
Respect – by getting to know new people, including staff and fellow students, and by taking responsibility for their environment.
Aspiration – by pushing themselves to try something challenging and take meaningful risks in their learning.
Contribution – by actively engaging in school life, including signing up for the Swimming Sports in Week 2 of Term 1, and getting involved in sport, music, and other co-curricular activities.
We were incredibly impressed by the enthusiasm and sincerity with which students embraced these expectations. Their emerging house pride, encouraged and supported by our student leaders and ambassadors, was already on full display.
We look forward to officially welcoming them into our school community in 2026 and are excited for the learning, growth, and achievements the new school year will bring.
