Thank-you!

As we wrap up what has been another exceptional year at Belmont High School, I want to sincerely thank our school community, our students, families, and staff, for your ongoing support throughout 2025.

On Wednesday night, we celebrated our annual Awards Ceremony, where over 250 students were recognised for their achievements in academic excellence, leadership, music, sport, citizenship, and more. It was a powerful reminder of the talent and dedication that makes Belmont such a special place.

Another exciting milestone in 2025 has been the official commencement of our $11.2 million Science and Health Centre building project. After years of planning, it's fantastic to now see the progress taking shape. You can view some photos of the early works below—this project is a game-changer for our school and will benefit generations of Belmont students to come.

To our students and families, thank you for being part of our journey this year. I wish you all a safe, restful, and joyful summer break. We look forward to welcoming everyone back in 2026 as we continue to Strive for the Highest.

Take care and enjoy the holidays.

Celebrating Excellence in VCE

We are absolutely delighted to acknowledge the exceptional performance of our Year 12 students in 2025, with VCE results that represent the strongest collective outcomes Belmont High School has seen in over ten years. These achievements reflect the relentless effort, resilience, and determination shown by our students, supported every step of the way by our dedicated staff.

Below we highlight the performance of the new members to our prestigious "90’s Club":

New Science & Health Centre – Builder Appointed

Building Works Update – Progress in Full Swing

As we close out the year, we’re excited to share that major works are well underway on our $11.2 million Science and Health Centre project. The transformation of our school environment has already begun, and several key milestones will be completed and ready for the return of students in 2026.

  • Portables Relocated

All existing portables have now been moved and aligned along Digby Avenue, creating improved access and setting the stage for future site works.

  • C-Wing Refurbishment

The full refurbishment of C-Wing is complete, including fresh paintwork and new carpet throughout the entire wing—offering a more modern and vibrant learning space for students and staff.

  • New Classrooms in the Library

Construction of two new general-purpose classrooms inside the library has been finalised, expanding our teaching spaces while the broader works continue.

  • S-Wing Demolition

Demolition of the outdated S-Wing has now been completed, clearing the way for the exciting new development to take shape early in the new year.

This project is a game-changer for Belmont High School, and we are thrilled with how much progress has already been made. You can see some photos of the works so far below—and we’ll continue to keep our community updated as construction of the Science and Health Centre progresses in 2026.

Thank you for your ongoing support as we build the future of Belmont High School.
