CONFIRMATION
This Saturday at 2:00pm, a number of our Year 5 and 6 students will be receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation at St Patrick’s Cathedral in Melbourne. This is a significant and sacred moment in their faith journey as they are strengthened by the gifts of the Holy Spirit and become fully initiated members of the Catholic Church.
We ask our school community to keep these students, their families, and sponsors in your prayers as they take this important step. May the Holy Spirit guide and inspire them as they continue to grow in faith, courage, and love.
A Prayer for Our Confirmation Candidates
Loving God,
We thank You for the gift of the Holy Spirit.
As our Year 5 and 6 students prepare to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation, fill their hearts with wisdom, courage, and joy.
Help them to grow in faith, to walk in Your light, and to share Your love with the world.
Bless their families, sponsors, and all who guide them.
May they always know Your presence and trust in Your plan for their lives.
Come, Holy Spirit, be their guide and strength, today and always.
Amen.
Thank You to Our Grandparents and Special Friends
Last Friday, we were delighted to welcome our Grandparents and Special Friends into our school community for a truly special celebration. It was a joy to see so many smiling faces, loving hugs, and shared moments of connection across generations.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all who were able to join us for our Grandparents and Special Friends Day. Your presence reminded us of the important role you play in the lives of our students, offering wisdom, support, and unconditional love.
A special thank you also goes to our wonderful Prep students who helped lead our Grandparents Mass with such reverence, joy, and enthusiasm.
You made us all proud!
Thank you again to everyone who helped make the day so memorable.
Feast of the Assumption – School Mass
Next Friday, 15th August, students will be attending Mass to celebrate the Feast of the Assumption of Mary. This is a special day in our Church calendar where we remember and honour Mary, the mother of Jesus.
Mass will be held at St Mary’s Star of the Sea Church at 9:15am, and we’d love to welcome any parents, grandparents, carers or friends in our school community who would like to join us.
It’s always special to gather as a school and parish community in prayer – we hope to see you there!
Warm regards,
Jacqui Hayes
