Italian with Year 3/4s
This term, Year 3 and 4 students will explore the life of the famous Italian scientist Galileo Galilei through stories, role-play, games, and language activities. They will listen to a simple Italian text about Galileo and write short summaries in English to show what they understood.
Students will focus on correct pronunciation, expression, and identifying gender in Italian nouns. They will create their own phrases inspired by the story and work in small groups to perform a role-play based on Galileo’s life.
To build vocabulary and speaking skills, students will take part in class games such as Pac-Man and Impiccato (Hangman)These games will help them practise the key phrases from the text and use Italian in creative ways.
I look forward to an exciting term of learning.
