Reconciliation Week 2026

From the 27th of May until the 3rd of June it is Reconciliation Week. The beginning and end dates are a significant part of First Nations history. The 27 May marks the anniversary of the 1967 referendum and 3 June marks the historic 1992 Mabo decision. The day before National Reconciliation Week is also Sorry Day. The Reconciliation Week theme this year is ‘All In.”

All In makes clear that reconciliation is not a spectator sport – it calls on everyone to step away from the sidelines and take responsibility for meaningful action.

Students across the school will be engaging in different tasks to do with acknowledging and understanding reconciliation Week. Activities will depend on classes, with plans across the school. Activities will include colouring pages in prep, data collection in grade 6, games during 3/4 sport. Students will be exploring diversity in our classrooms, Indigenous Perspectives and also looking at storytelling during this week.
