Grade 2 Toy Incursion

Last week, grade 2 were so lucky to have a toy incursion at school. We explored different toys and learned about push and pull forces. A force is a movement that makes something move, stop, or change direction.

We worked in groups to test and investigate different toys. We learned that pushes and pulls can change the speed and direction of objects. Some toys needed a gentle push, while others needed a big push or pull to move. We had three stations set up with so many toys that we didn’t even get to play with them all!

The incursion was fun and exciting. We enjoyed learning about forces by playing with toys. It helped us understand how pushes and pulls work in everyday life.
