Interschool Sports Round 5: Lalor East Primary vs St Catherine's
Round 5 of the Interschool Sports competition saw Lalor East Primary School take on St Catherine's Primary School in an exciting afternoon of sport and teamwork.
Girls Netball
Lalor east continue their undefeated season with a strong win 12-1 showing an impressive display of skill, determination, and teamwork.
Mixed netball
The mixed netball team faced a strong St Catherine's side and, despite their best efforts and determination, were defeated 12–0.
Girls volleyball
In volleyball, the girls' team produced a fantastic performance, defeating St Catherine's 2–0. The team worked together effectively, showing great communication and skill to secure the win.
Mixed volleyball
The boys' volleyball team competed strongly in a closely contested match. After an exciting battle, they were narrowly defeated 2–1. The boys demonstrated determination and persistence, making it a highly competitive game from start to finish.
Soccer
Our soccer team played with energy and commitment but were defeated 5–2 by a strong St Catherine's side. The team continued to work hard throughout the match and should be proud of their effort and sportsmanship.
Round 6: Lalor East vs Thomastown East
Round 6 of the Interschool Sports competition saw Lalor East Primary School take on Thomastown East Primary School. Our students displayed great effort, teamwork, and sportsmanship across all sports, representing the school with pride.
Girls Netball
The Netball girls played exceptionally well, demonstrating strong teamwork, accurate passing, and excellent shooting to secure a convincing 15–3 victory. Their determination and positive communication throughout the game helped them dominate the match and achieve a well-deserved win.
Mixed netball
The mixed netball team faced a strong Thomastown East side and were defeated 25–3. Despite the challenging result, the team continued to work hard, encourage one another, and show resilience until the final whistle.
Volleyball Girls
In volleyball, both teams competed with great effort. The girls' volleyball team faced tough opposition and were defeated 2–0.
Volleyball boys
The boys' volleyball team played a closely contested match but were narrowly defeated 2–1 after showing strong determination and teamwork throughout the game.
Soccer
The soccer team also encountered a strong Thomastown East side and were defeated 9–2. Despite the result, the team continued to play with enthusiasm and commitment, never giving up and supporting each other throughout the match.
Congratulations to all students who participated in Round 6. Your effort, sportsmanship, and willingness to represent Lalor East are to be celebrated. We look forward to seeing our teams continue to develop their skills and enjoy future success in the remaining rounds of competition.
