SWPBS NEW Expected Behaviours Chart

We are excited to introduce our new Expected Behaviours Chart, which has been professionally produced and distributed around the school. It is a refreshed and streamlined guide designed to support a positive, safe and respectful environment for everyone in our school.

The new chart is student friendly and clearly outlines the behaviours and actions we expect to see across all settings. It has been developed to provide greater consistency, clarity and understanding for students, staff and families. By using common language and shared expectations, we can work together to create an environment where everyone feels valued, supported and able to succeed.

The chart focuses on positive behaviours and highlights what success looks like in different areas of school life.

Families are encouraged to take some time to review the chart with their children and discuss how these expectations can be applied both at school and at home. A shared understanding of positive behaviours helps strengthen the partnership between school and home and supports student growth and wellbeing.

We look forward to seeing our community embrace these expectations and continue to build a culture of respect, responsibility and kindness. Thank you for your ongoing support with our SWPBS program.

Coffee and Chat - Therapy Dogs at LEPS

This term, Grace and Linda have been busy attending specialised training with their dogs, Walter and Ollie, as they work towards becoming qualified therapy dogs at LEPS. The training, provided through the Lead the Way Institute, involves extensive assessments before qualification can be achieved.

This week, Grace and Linda introduced Ollie and Walter to the LEPS community during our Coffee and Chat session. They also visited classrooms across the school to introduce our newest four-legged team members to students and staff.

In Term 3, Ollie and Walter will begin building positive connections with students through regular attendance at Library sessions. As they become more established and confident in the school environment, they will gradually move into small-group sessions designed to support student wellbeing, emotional regulation and engagement.

We look forward to seeing the positive impact Ollie and Walter will have as they become valued members of the LEPS community.
