Community Partnerships

Partnerships with our local community  groups and sporting clubs enable school facilities to be  utilised during  the evenings and weekends.  Some of these partnerships  have been ongoing for more than 25 years others have become  regular  facility users over the past 2 or 3 years. 

One such long standing   community  group  is The Gap Little  Athletics.  Not only have   Little A’s  supported many young athletes over the years, but they have applied for and received grants which has enabled them to  fund resources for the school  including the existing  lights on the school oval, for which we are  most grateful.

Little A’s  have been successful in gaining a further  grant for the installation of an additional light on the oval – this one would be on the  south western side of the oval  above the  existing discuss circles.  The light will have minimal  impact on surrounding residential properties due to its lower height and its beam would be focussed on the field.  An added benefit would be illuminating the adjacent walking/cycling Council  path.   Department of Education approval is required prior to any  work commencing.
