STATE BADMINTON

YEAR 7 BADMINTON
The Year 7 girls Badminton team competed today at Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre in Albert Park. It was the state final with eight Year 7 girls teams from the state competing. The Korumburra SC team included Noi P, Tilly M, Gracie B, Lara P and Asha F, and Ruby A as support.
KSC played Balwyn High School first and won two games. Then then took on Keysborough Secondary College followed by Maribyrnong College. It was a very high standard of badminton and the KSC girls were extremely competitive with serving, smashes, drop shots and some amazing rallies. All of the lunchtime and at-home training culminated in excellent play against formidable opponents.
A big thanks to all the parents who came along to watch, Mr Douthat who drove the bus and Don Creed from the Korumburra Badminton Club who coached the girls for series of sessions earlier this term.
It was a delight to watch the team progress this year, and the KSC community should be extremely proud of their achievement.
