SCHOOL LEADERSHIP MESSAGE

PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
School Captain voting follows a rigorous process with three inputs: interviews, staff selection and student choice. This year we have been unable to differentiate between the five candidates through this process and so with great pride we announce that all five applicants will represent Korumburra Secondary College as School Captains in 2026. Congratulations to Natalie Churchill, Naomi Pether, Emma Gardner, Phoebe Ye and Georgia Kyle. I am looking forward to their contributions to the College in 2026 and know they will all be outstanding School Captains, representing Korumburra SC with pride.
It's an exciting week for our Year 12 students and staff as we farewell our Year 12s. The traditions that we have established over the last few years have shown that students can celebrate finishing school with pride and respect. Our Farewell Week starts on Monday with the Art Show, and Assembly where Year 12 Captains make their final address and handover to our new school captains. The Car Parade on Wednesday afternoon is a uniquely Korumburra experience and one the students really enjoy. Please drive safely Year 12s! Then to finish off the Year 12s will gift us a performance on Thursday morning at their final whole school event of their schooling. We wish them all the best with their exams for those who are completing them, their pathways and their future success.
It’s also a big week for our Arts and Technology teachers and students with the annual ART Show in the STEAM foyer on Monday.
Parents are welcome to view the Art show between 8.30 and 9.30 am. Please sign in at the General Office. We then have our Whole School Assembly and the official opening of our long awaited Cross Fit stations at 10 am. Thanks to the Lions Club, KCDA and Koringal Women’s Service Club for their generous donations towards this project. Our Maintenance Manager Melinda Dawson, “Dawso” has been an incredible project manager with great support from Peter Cook on School Council. I am looking forward to seeing our students use this equipment.
KSC warmly invites our community for the official opening of our long-awaited CrossFit Stations. This project has been made possible through the generous support of local community groups and community members, and we are delighted to celebrate its launch for our students to enjoy.
Crossfit Station Opening
Please join us for our Whole School Assembly on Monday October 20 at 9.30am in the Hislop Gym. We will then move to the CrossFit Stations with a group of students to officially open the equipment (approximately 10am).
