We had 48 students compete at the District Athletics Carnival on Wednesday 10th September. It was a superb day watching our students compete amongst 13 other schools representing PMPS. We had many personal bests and impressive individual performances across many track and field events.

Year 6 students play soccer in Spain

Over the school holidays, three of our Year 6 students – Khan M, Novak N and Jude L – jetted off to Spain for two incredible weeks of soccer training and competition with the SDC Soccer Program.

The boys spent their first week near Girona and their second week in Barcelona, taking part in a fun-filled and action-packed schedule. They trained every day at local grounds (and even on the beach!) while soaking up Spanish football culture.

A highlight of the trip was visiting and training at three La Liga clubs – Barcelona, Espanyol and Girona. The team also played several local clubs, winning an impressive five out of seven games!

In between training and games, the boys attended three live La Liga games, topped off by watching Barcelona vs PSG in the Champions League at the Nou Camp!

Of course, there was still time to enjoy some sightseeing, local food and culture – and we hear a few churros may have been consumed along the way! What an unforgettable experience – well done, Khan, Novak and Jude!
