We had 48 students compete at the District Athletics Carnival on Wednesday 10th September. It was a superb day watching our students compete amongst 13 other schools representing PMPS. We had many personal bests and impressive individual performances across many track and field events.

A few highlights include four new school records:
Beachside Division Athletics
20 students have progressed onto the Beachside Division Athletics, taking place today - Friday 10th October, at Duncan Mackinnon. A massive well done to all those who participated and wishing the best of luck to those who are competing at the next stages.
On Friday 12th September we had our first Touch Rugby Gala Day for Years 5 & 6. It was great to see lots of our students put their skills into action and enjoy competing against other local schools.
In Term 4 we’ve got a busy schedule of events including open water swimming for Year 3-6. Prep MSAC swim program will take place in Week 2.
Dates for open water swimming are as follows:
We’ve also got Ultimate Frisbee Gala Day for Years 3 & 4 and Beach Volleyball for Years 5 & 6. More details will be shared closer to the events.

Over the school holidays, three of our Year 6 students – Khan M, Novak N and Jude L – jetted off to Spain for two incredible weeks of soccer training and competition with the SDC Soccer Program.
The boys spent their first week near Girona and their second week in Barcelona, taking part in a fun-filled and action-packed schedule. They trained every day at local grounds (and even on the beach!) while soaking up Spanish football culture.
A highlight of the trip was visiting and training at three La Liga clubs – Barcelona, Espanyol and Girona. The team also played several local clubs, winning an impressive five out of seven games!
In between training and games, the boys attended three live La Liga games, topped off by watching Barcelona vs PSG in the Champions League at the Nou Camp!
Of course, there was still time to enjoy some sightseeing, local food and culture – and we hear a few churros may have been consumed along the way! What an unforgettable experience – well done, Khan, Novak and Jude!
