Melbourne Storm Careers Expo

As part of the Melbourne Storm School to Work Program, four of our Yr. 12 girls, Mr. Devine and I were fortunate enough to be invited to their inaugural Careers Expo at AAMI Park. The event was organised to help students prepare for their future aspirations and career pathways after high school. The day began with a smoking ceremony and traditional welcome to country. The girls then heard from several organisations offering career and employment opportunities and further educational pathways that they may be interested in as they transition from school to their chosen career. The girls were able to make connections with other young people and community leaders as well as meet and hear from Melbourne Storm rising stars and current players, which was a highlight of the day.
