Lamont Book Fair - THANK YOU!

A huge thank you to our Kalinda community for making this year’s Book Fair such a successful event. Thanks to your generosity, Kalinda has earned a whopping $1564.20 in commission, which we can now spend on new books and resources for the library, classroom libraries, and the school.

We cannot thank you enough!

Lamont Book Fair - Back-ordered books

Did you order a book to be delivered to the school? Back-ordered books have now arrived. If your child is waiting for a book which was ordered at the Book Fair, please email Martina.Medica@education.vic.gov.au with the name of your child and the book they ordered, so we can arrange for their delivery to the correct class.

NSS - Colouring Competition

Last week Kalinda participated in National Simultaneous Storytime, joining in on reading the same book on the same day as thousands of other schools, libraries, kindergartens, and families around Australia. The book chosen this year was Bowerbird Blues, by Aura Parker, and we have had wonderful feedback from both staff and students. 

Kalinda Library is running the annual NSS colouring competition, with a choice of six bird-related colouring sheets to suit all age groups and abilities! Entries must be in the Entry Box in the library by end of day Thursday 7th June. The competition will be judged by our fabulous Grade 6 Library Leaders, and winners will be announced at assembly on Friday.
