Interschool Cross Country Action!
Over the past few weeks, All Saints’ College students have proudly represented the College across multiple Cross Country events.
On 21 May, 55 athletes competed at the Champion Schools Cross Country at Yokine Reserve, a key qualifying event for the Australian National Championships. Students showed outstanding determination and sportsmanship, with several personal bests and two top-15 finishes—an excellent reflection of our strong Cross Country program.
Congratulations to the following students who were our top performing students at the event.
The season concluded on 28 May at the ACC Cross Country Carnival. All Saints’ placed an impressive 11th out of 80 schools, with 14 students finishing in the top 75 of their divisions (each race featuring around 400 competitors).
As always, it was incredibly difficult to choose the awards this season, as we had so many outstanding efforts from students who attended multiple training session per week, on top of their many other College commitments. Although we have recognised the following students below, we commend and congratulate all students for their commitments to training and the Cross Country Team.
Most Valuable Runners – Eli Saratsis (1) and Olivia Smith (3)
Fastest Runner (for ASC) – Eli Saratsis (3.01 min/km) and Olivia Smith (3.40min/km)
Running Club Awards – Leila France (ongoing dedication to training resulting in excellent results)
Captains Award – Sam Warner-Jones (excellent skill and courageous performance)
Most Improved – Nathan Lau (excellent attitude, commitment and improvement)
The season highlighted strong team commitment, supported by well-attended Running Club sessions led by Old Saint Lyndon Kenworthy-Groen.
A big thank you to staff, parents and supporters who contributed throughout the season. Congratulations to all runners on their efforts and dedication—we look forward to Athletics season ahead.
