Dear parents and carers,
Weeks 9 & 10 have presented many engaging opportunities for students to celebrate their achievements. A highlight was the Neurodiversity Colour Run in Week 9, which was filled with fun and laughter. Students have also enjoyed completing puzzles and playing social games in the classrooms. We have introduced more activities on the yard to support learning during recess times. It has been great to see students interacting with each other and playing turn taking games such as football and tennis as well as sharing the parachute and swings.
We are very proud of the achievements of all of our students across the semester. They have worked hard all semester to achieve success in their learning. Thank you to families for your support. You will receive a copy of your child's report today on Xuno. Please reach out if you would like help accessing the report or would like to discuss in further detail.
We have some great learning opportunities coming up in Semester 2 including an excursion for Physical Education to All in Arial. Individual classes may have their own excursion/work experience opportunities. Please check your child's diary and return the permission forms when received. We encourage all students to participate in excursions as part of travel education experiences. If you would like to discuss excursions further and how we can best support your child within the community, please reach out to the classroom team.
Have a relaxing and enjoyable break and we look forward to supporting our students in Term 3,
Amelia Frantz
Secondary Sub School Leader
Post School Options Expo
Our Post School Options Expo is on Thursday 30th July in the Yaluk Gym from 3:00pm- 6:00pm. Families with students in Secondary & Senior Schools are invited to attend. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to discuss pathways for your young adult.

What an exciting and rewarding term it has been in Room 19!
This term has felt like an adventure, filled with opportunities for students to learn through real-life experiences, explore new environments, and develop important life skills. Throughout the term, our students have shown great enthusiasm for learning by doing, helping them make meaningful connections between classroom learning and the world around them.
One of the highlights of the term was our swimming program. Students demonstrated confidence, resilience, and a willingness to challenge themselves while developing important water safety skills. We also enjoyed our excursion to the local park, where students had the opportunity to explore, play, and practise social skills in a community setting.
Across all learning areas, students have been working hard to become more independent. They have been learning to complete tasks more confidently, try new experiences, make choices, and communicate their thoughts, feelings, and needs more effectively. It has been wonderful to see each student grow in their own way and celebrate their achievements along the journey.
As a class, we have also been preparing for Term 3 by selecting the songs for our upcoming music concert. Students enjoyed sharing their ideas and preferences, and we are excited to begin practising together next term.
We are incredibly proud of how well everyone has settled into the routines and expectations of Room 19. Students have embraced the rhythm of our classroom, supported one another, and shown persistence in completing their work and participating in learning activities.
Looking ahead, we are excited for the adventures that await us in Term 3, including our Zoo and Aquarium excursions. These experiences will provide many opportunities for hands-on learning, exploration, and fun.
Thank you to all families for your ongoing support throughout the term. We wish everyone a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable holiday break and look forward to seeing you all refreshed and ready for another fantastic term ahead.
Warm regards,
Room 19 Team
