Dear parents and carers,

As we come to the end of another wonderful term, I would like to congratulate all students on their participation and achievements. Term 2 was filled with engaging, hands-on learning experiences that encouraged students to explore, create, and develop new skills. It has been fantastic to see so much enthusiasm and enjoyment across all learning areas.

Last week, we celebrated Neurodiversity Day with a Colour Run. The event was a huge success, filled with laughter, fun, and happy memories for students, staff, and families. It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the strengths and uniqueness of every learner in our school community.

Next term, students will be developing their comprehension skills in English through analysing and interpreting texts, while continuing to create their own written texts. In Mathematics, students will explore patterns, sequence, and order through engaging and practical learning activities.

As part of our Personal and Social Capability program, students will focus on Personal Strengths and building resilience. We will also continue to promote autism awareness and acceptance, helping students understand and celebrate the many different ways people learn, communicate, and experience the world.

Students will also participate in learning about Health and Wellbeing, Games and Sport, Science, Geography, Music, Dance, and Visual Arts, where they will explore the theme Australia and Our Community through creative and expressive activities.

We are also excited to welcome the RACV Safety Squad on 18 August. Students will take part in interactive road safety sessions designed to build awareness of safe behaviours as pedestrians and passengers.

Thank you for your ongoing support. We wish all families a safe and relaxing break and look forward to welcoming everyone back for another exciting term.

Best Regards,

Stefania Mantinioti

ROOM 10

Our Room 10 students have been buzzing with excitement as they dive into hands‑on learning. During our turn‑taking games, they’ve been practising big personal and social skills, like patience, cheering each other on, and waiting for “my turn!”-all while giving their phonics muscles a good workout.

They’ve also been shape detectives, spotting circles, triangles and rectangles in the real world and proudly sharing what they’ve found. Their curiosity, teamwork and growing confidence have made our classroom feel extra bright this term.

A big thank‑you to our Sub‑School Leader Stefania for her constant support of Room 10. Her regular visits and steady presence in our learning space have made a meaningful difference to both students and staff. We are truly grateful for the positivity and care she brings to our learning space.

As we wrap up Term 2, we are incredibly proud of the growth we’ve seen and excited for all the learning still ahead. We look forward to sharing more of the children’s achievements in the months ahead.
