Congratulations to the following students who have been recognised for their outstanding sporting achievements and contribution to sport within Sydney Catholic Schools or sporting pathways outside the opportunities provided.
NSWCCC Blue - William Taylor (Year 11)
Will is an exceptional cricketer who has continued to rise through the ranks and represented NSW All Schools in the Open Cricket Team. Will is regarded as one the best young fast bowlers in the country and he is thoroughly deserving of this wonderful achievement. Will is a worthy recipient of a NSWCCC Blue.
Sydney Catholic Schools Sports Awards
Lachie Targett - Year 7
Lachie represented NSW All Schools at the Australian Championships in the sport of Triathlon.
Solomon Freeman - Year 11
Solomon made the NSW All Schools Swimming to contest the Australian Championships.
William Taylor - Year 11
Will made the NSW All Schools Cricket Team to contest the Australian Championships.
Lahni Woodger - Year 12
Lahni made the Australian U18 Women’s Hockey Team
Chelsea Sutton - Year 12
Chelsea was successful in two Australian canoeing teams, the Pacific Sprint Cup and the World Marathon Championships.
Alexander Challenor - Year 12
Alex has been a member of NSWCCC Rugby League for the past two years and was successful in being selected in the Australian Schoolboys Rugby League Team.
Oliver Randazzo - Year 12
Oli has been a member of the NSWCCC Football Teams in the past but due to his elevation with his A-League team, was not permitted to trial in year 12; however, he was selected to represent the Young Socceroos to play in the U20 ASIAN Cup.
Kobe Sorenson - Year 12
Kobe represented the Australian Youth Life Saving Team that contested and won the World Youth Championships.
