BioEyes Incursion
On the 1st of August Students in 7I and 7J participated in the BioEyes Incursion provided by Monash University. The program is a STEM based extension program that allows students to study the ocular development of zebra fish.
This program challenged students to engage with eye and vision structures. It was a fast-learning process as students were introduced to genetics and biological studies to interpret the data they were gaining by using microscopes.
Students studied the fish from larval stage through to adulthood and could see the development of the eye at various stages of growth.
It was wonderful to see the students so engaged with the program and they acted as excellent ambassadors for TLSC. A big thank you to Mr Ngyuyen and Ms Tonna for facilitating these incursion sessions.
