The Library is open from 8.00am to 4.00pm each day, including recess and lunchtime for all students.

Library Borrowing & Returns

Students can borrow up to 5 books at a time, for a 2 week duration.  Reminder emails, notices on Compass, and TEAMS messages are sent to students when books are overdue, prompting them to return or renew.  

We do not charge overdue fees, but long overdue books (months) will incur a replacement fee, and parents will be contacted via Compass 'events' regarding this.

Year 7 Library Sessions

Year 7 students are continuing to learn about the Library through our 'Fishing for Fiction Genres' activity to start the term.  A fast-paced, team challenge which looks at how we present our collection and how reading for enjoyment is for all.

Melbourne Writer's Festival

Our Book Bites Book Club and EPP students had the opportunity to visit the MWF on 8th May where they heard from four amazing YA authors - 

Students enjoyed hearing about their writing processes (from where they started, through to deciding on character names and overcoming writers block).  

It was a fantastic day with an opportunity to also meet and chat in person to each of them.  Thank you to Mr Green for also joining us on the day.

Lunchtime Activities

Join in our 'Mindful Monday' crafty activities this term or just come in and find a cosy spot to read. (Note: no devices to be used at this time)

Book Bites Book Club continues this term with students choosing a title from our 'horror genre'.  We finished Term 1 with a literary themed lunch which included some Percy Jackson blue cookies; colourful Hungry Caterpillar and Rainbow Fish cupcakes; and washed it all down with Fantastic Mr Fox apple juice! A great way to celebrate our term of reading.
