VCE VM - PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT STUDIES 

For our VCE VM Personal Development studies, every Tuesday we head down to Mt Eliza Neighbourhood House to volunteer in their garden space to renew the area and make it a friendlier and more welcoming place to come.

Some of the things we have done so far include: cleaning out the children’s sand pit, scrubbing clean the playground, cut down over hanging branches and mulched them, replanted many of the pots they have, mostly using succulents which a generous MESC family donated a great deal of along with some community members. We have baked scones for the weekly sewing group, cleaned and reorganised the book community bookshelf and cleaned and re-sorted the food pantry.

Our next major project we would like to do for them is re-paint the garden beds and the playground equipment.
