Dear St Mary’s Community,
First Eucharist this Sunday
This Sunday, we celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, also known as Corpus Christi. This special day in the Catholic liturgical calendar invites us to reflect on the gift of the Eucharist, the real presence of Jesus in the consecrated bread and wine. At Mass, we remember and give thanks for this sacred mystery, which unites us as one body in Christ and nourishes us spiritually. It is a beautiful reminder for our students and families of the importance of gathering in community and receiving Jesus with reverence and gratitude.
We send all our thoughts and prayers to the whole Year 4 cohort who have been undertaking learning about this important Sacrament and we especially Pray for the 13 students in Year Four who will be receiving Communion for the first time this Sunday at the 10:30am Mass.
All families are warmly invited to attend.
Winter Clothes Drive
Our Faith and Social Justice leaders have been inspired by the words from the scripture at our Reconciliation Week Paraliturgy and have created action to go alongside Faith.
Thank you in advance for supporting this important initiative.
First Reading: James 2:14-26
What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no action? Can such faith save them?
Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
Important Dates Upcoming:
Friday 20 June 9.15am - Mass with Year 1 and 2
Sunday 22 June 2025 10.30am - First Eucharist Year 4
Friday 27 June 2025 - Sacred Heart Para Liturgy with the Whole School (9:15am)
God bless
