New Staff
Please help us welcome the following new staff to our community.
Mr Michael Bevan
Michael is excited to join Endeavour College leading the onsite IT Team.
After 7 years at Immanuel Lutheran College in a Senior IT role and recently in IT Management in the Not-for-Profit sector, he was keen to head back into the education sector.
With 25 years of IT experience behind him, Michael is looking forward to working with the IT Team, staff, students, and the broader Endeavour Community as we proceed into an exciting chapter over the next few years.
Ms Trish Davies
Trish is pleased to join Endeavour College in the Daily Organisation role on a 12-month contract. With more than 20 years of experience working across a variety of roles in schools, Trish brings a wealth of knowledge and looks forward to both contributing to and learning from the Endeavour community.
Outside of work, Trish enjoys staying active and creative through yoga, walking, craft projects, and spending time with family and friends.
In recent years, Trish has also developed a passion for travel and enjoys exploring different countries, cultures, and experiences.
Trish looks forward to becoming part of the College community, building connections with staff and students, and embracing the opportunities the year ahead will bring.
Mr Josh Haynes
Josh is delighted to join the Endeavour College community as our Head of Arts Faculty Leader.
With 11 years of teaching experience and a strong focus on the Performing Arts, Josh has worked across all year levels from Reception to Year 12. His diverse teaching background also includes Physical Education and English, providing him with a deep understanding of how movement, storytelling, and texts work together to create meaning, and engage audiences.
Josh is passionate about fostering creativity, collaboration, and confidence in young people through the Arts. He is looking forward to expanding opportunities for students, supporting creative growth, and promoting a wide range of performance and artistic experiences within the College community.
Mrs Sue Kalionis
Sue is proud to join the Endeavour College community as our Receptionist. Sue brings experience from a range of roles across the corporate, education, and community sectors. After three years of temping, she's delighted to have found her home at Endeavour.
Outside of work, Sue is a proud mum of two sons and a grandmother to five.
She notes that doesn't leave her with much 'me time,' however, she enjoys walking, socialising, and gardening whenever given the chance.
Ms Gina Pan
Gina is excited to join Endeavour College as a Mathematics and Science teacher in Middle Years. She graduated from the University of Adelaide with a Master of Teaching, with experience working with students across Years 7 - 12.
Gina is passionate about supporting student development and is committed to foster engaging and meaningful learning experiences in the classroom. She looks forward to contributing to the school community and continuing to grow professionally throughout her teaching journey.
College Board Nominations
We are currently seeking nominations for positions on the School Board. Serving on the Board is a valuable opportunity to contribute to the future direction of our school, support strong governance, and work collaboratively with our community to ensure the best outcomes for our students.
We encourage parents and community members with a passion for education, strategic thinking, and a willingness to contribute their time and expertise to consider nominating. Diverse perspectives and experiences are highly valued, and all interested members of our school community are welcome to apply.
More information, including the nomination process can be found here.
Staff Car Park:
Pick-up and drop-off
We are aware that traffic flow in Mawson Lakes has some challenges, including the pick-up and drop-off peak times, particularly at the end of the school day.
However, parents are reminded that drop-off and pick-up in non-designated areas, especially the Staff Car Park on the Northern side of the College, is a safety risk.
We have had a number of near misses recently and, as student safety is imperative, I remind parents that our only designated pick-up and drop-off zone is the double lane Kiss and Drop on University Boulevard.
We also encourage parents to seek alternatives. These could include:
- Picking your child up at a time other than 3:15pm
- The Discovery Centre is open until 4:00pm daily
- The Mawson Lakes Library is open until late
- Parking locally and walking over to the College
