Celebrating Sir David Attenborough's 100th birthday
For generations, Sir David Attenborough has fed our curiosity about the natural world with his inspirational documentaries. Today, the Discovery Centre had the great pleasure of hosting a small celebration for Sir David Attenborough's 100th birthday.
The celebration was championed by Henry G from Year 9 with support of our Sustainability leader, Jessie. Students and teachers joined us to watch snippets of Sir David's documentaries and dive into some 360 Virtual Reality experiences.
Happy birthday, Sir David Attenborough.
What a life well lived!

Rough Sleep Out
Did You Know?
Homelessness in Our Own Backyard?
Right here in Adelaide, every night in South Australia, more than 5,500 young people experience homelessness. Some sleep on the streets, others couch surf, and many struggle to find a safe and stable place to call home. As winter approaches, the reality grows colder and harder for those sleeping without shelter.
How Our Year 11s Are Making a Difference
Our Year 11 students are stepping up, and stepping out, for their brothers and sisters in need. Over the coming days, they will be running a variety of fundraising activities across the school, and will cap it off by sleeping rough overnight on cardboard boxes, just as so many in our community are forced to do every single night.
They are not just raising money. They are raising awareness. They are choosing, for one night, to feel what others cannot escape.
Your Support Matters
Every single contribution, no matter the size, brings warmth, dignity, and hope to someone who needs it most. Hutt Street Centre has reported record-breaking demand, particularly during Adelaide's freezing winter months.
The need is real, it is urgent, and it is on our doorstep.
If you feel moved to help, please donate using the QR code below. Together, we can make a difference for the most vulnerable in our community this winter.
Each contribution will make a difference.

Debating 2026
The first round of the 2026 Debating SA season kicks off next Monday at Endeavour!
Teams have been preparing since Term 1 for a wide variety of challenging topics, such as:
Year 7: That the South Australia Police should reinstate mandatory spelling and numeracy tests for recruits.
Year 8: That there should be a law to protect the Australian flag from desecration.
Year 9: That South Australia's 'no jab, no play' policy should be abolished.
Year 10: That Banksy is the Da Vinci of his time.
Seniors: That censorship has a place in protecting democracy.
If you are keen to join for one of the nights, debates will be held at Endeavour on the following nights from 6:30pm:
- Round 1: Monday 11 May 2026
- Round 2: Monday 1 June 2026
