Louis from 6TM - Parents for Climate Parliament House Visit
A few weeks ago at Parliament House, parents and children (including Louie Ashley-Chiew 6TM and his Mum) from across Australia came together to make a simple but powerful case: every school and early learning centre should have access to solar and batteries.
More than 25 MPs and Senators engaged with us that day - and what’s followed since has been significant.
Meetings are now being scheduled with Ministers and MPs who attended. Others have reached out to understand how this could be delivered in their communities. At the same time, we’re seeing growing support from educators, unions and national organisations backing energy upgrades for schools and early learning centres.
This is what momentum looks like - from a parent-led ‘no brainer’ policy idea to active policy conversations.
We’ve just released a short video (see below) from the day that captures why this matters so deeply.

This is what cut through in Parliament.
Not just policy or talking points. But....
Parents.
Kids.
And that instinct to protect, to care, to build something better for them. ❤️
