Alphington Primary School Comedy Night
Our neighbours at Alphington Primary School are holding their annual comedy night on Saturday 12th September. Always a great local night out, tickets are now on sale.
- When: Saturday 12th September
- Time: Doors open at 7pm. Comedy show starts at 8pm
- Where: Alphington Primary School Gym
- Dress code: Casual, with gym-friendly sneakers or trainers

Alfred Nuttall Kindergarten – 70 Year Celebration
Alfred Nuttall Memorial Kindergarten celebrated its 70th year of service to the community in 2025. This year, they are celebrating, alongside the dedication of our Indigenous mural that was commissioned to mark the milestone.
- When: Sunday 13 September, 10am – 2pm
- What: Unveiling of the Indigenous mural.
- Who: Everyone! Bring a picnic and reconnect with old friends to celebrate 70 years
Junior Futsal Starting Term 4
Club Future Futsal is looking for players and teams for the Summer competition.
The competition is open to all players and experience levels, from under 8s to under 16s

THE UP Community: Monthly Collections
The UP Community are delighted to announce that from September they will be holding monthly collections. Each month, regular items will be collected as well as a 'feature item' for that month. Help keep useful resources in circulation and out of landfill while supporting local schools, kinders and community groups.
- Where: Span Community House, 64 Clyde Street, Thornbury
- When: First Saturday of every month, 1pm – 4pm
- What: Each month, they will be collecting a standard list of items, plus a special collection for that month only. See the images below for details.

Bushcraft Club at Darebin Parklands
A Bushcraft Club, for 8 to 15-year-olds, is starting at the Darebin Parklands. There's lots of foraging, shelter building, games, practical bushcraft skills and time to explore the parklands.
