Year 4 Celebrates Harmony Week

This week, our Year 4 students proudly acknowledged and celebrated Harmony Week, a special time to recognise and appreciate the rich cultural diversity that makes Australia such a vibrant and inclusive place to live.

Harmony Week is a nationwide celebration that highlights the importance of respect, inclusion and belonging for everyone, regardless of cultural or linguistic background. It reminds us that while we may come from many different cultures, we are united by shared values of kindness, understanding and community. The message of Harmony Week is simple but powerful: “Everyone Belongs.”

Throughout the week, Year 4 students have been reflecting on what harmony means in their own lives. As part of this learning, students shared their personal thoughts and ideas by completing the sentence: “Harmony means…”. Their responses showed thoughtful reflections on friendship, respect, kindness and celebrating our differences.

These reflections will be displayed to help remind our school community that harmony is something we can practise every day through the way we treat and support one another.

We are proud of the thoughtful conversations and reflections from our Year 4 students as they continue to build a welcoming and respectful school community.
