Our first main lesson this term is ‘Time, Food and Farming’. We have started by thinking deeply about what really is time and how different creatures (ourselves included) experience and track time. We also learnt how to read an analogue clock. In exploring where humanity's understanding of time comes from we made sun dials. Our individual ones blew away in the wind, but the one we made from the temporary building fence worked fantastically! The children were utterly fascinated at how far and fast the shadow moved across the ground! 

In writing the kids are doing an information report on a topic of their choice. They have been very engaged in this and particularly loved using books to find out information they didn’t know about their chosen topic. As always we have loved singing, painting and drawing together.
