Celebrating Kindness!

We have some fantastic kindness news to celebrate! In term 3, 47 students were recognised for their acts of kindness — what an amazing achievement!

A huge congratulations to 2/3S and F/1B, who tied for the class with the most students demonstrating kindness.

A special shout-out goes to our Kindness Superstars, who were recognised for spreading kindness on multiple occasions: Mercy (56B), Felix (56S), Sienna (F/1A) and Abel (F/1S). Well done!

At the end of term 3, our Wellbeing Ambassadors celebrated these wonderful efforts with a special lunchtime celebration, recognising students who have been spreading kindness throughout our school.

A reminder of how our Acts of Kindness initiative works:

Kindness helps make our school a happy, safe and welcoming place for everyone. When teachers see students demonstrating kindness in the playground, they may award them a Kindness Card. These cards are placed in the Kindness Box at the front office, and students are acknowledged at assembly and in Dhumbadjirri for their thoughtful actions.

Kindness can be shown in many ways, including:

  • Using kind and encouraging words.
  • Including someone in a game.
  • Comforting someone who is upset.
  • Getting the yard duty teacher to help someone in need.
  • Picking up rubbish in the yard.

Every act of kindness, big or small, makes a difference! Let’s keep the kindness going throughout Term 4 and continue celebrating the wonderful ways our students care for one another.
