Thursday 5th February saw the start of our sporting excursions for 2026 with a team of 49 students travelling to North Park Stawell to compete in the Senior and Intermediate tennis, with three teams winning through and have now qualified to compete at the Greater Western Tennis Competition in Ballarat on March 4.
With the amazing number of students wanting to compete we were able to field the following teams:
Two Senior Girls
Three Senior Boys
Three Intermediate Girls
Two Intermediate Boys
Well done to all students on your efforts both on and off the court, thanks to Josh, Rian and Jason for ensuring the day ran smoothly and congratulations to our Senior Girls, Senior Boys and Intermediate Girls teams who were successful in winning the Black Range Competition and we now look forward GWR competition on March the 4th.




Horsham College’s Intermediate and Senior Cricket teams delivered outstanding performances and earning their place in the Greater Western Region round after a dominant day of cricket.
Both teams recorded strong wins against Horsham Lutheran, Stawell and Warracknabeal, showcasing excellent teamwork, disciplined bowling and confident batting throughout the competition.
The Intermediate team faced their toughest challenge in a thrilling final against St Brigid’s. In a closely contested match, our students showed great composure under pressure, holding their nerve in key moments to secure a well-earned victory. It was a fantastic display of resilience and teamwork.
The Senior team also performed strongly across the day, demonstrating maturity and leadership as they controlled matches and capitalised on their opportunities.
Both teams will now travel to Ballarat at a later date to compete in the Greater Western Region round. We congratulate all players on their achievements and wish them every success in the next stage of the competition.
Horsham College’s annual swimming sports was held on Friday the 13th at the Horsham Aquatic Centre, bringing together students for a full day of competition, house spirit, and fun in the sun. The atmosphere was electric as students cheered from the sidelines, dressed in their house colours and supporting their teammates in every race. The event showcased not only swimming talent but also teamwork, determination, and school pride.
The swimming events were a highlight of the day, with strong competition across all strokes and distances. Briggs delivered an outstanding performance to secure 1st place overall, showing speed and consistency throughout the carnival. McLachlan followed behind to claim 2nd place, while Darlot swam impressively to finish 3rd. Hall rounded out the top four with a well-earned 4th place, demonstrating great effort and sportsmanship.
Students were recognised for their consistent efforts and strong performances throughout the day by being named age champion!

Overall, the swimming sports were a fantastic success, with students giving their best in every event. The supportive crowd, competitive races, and positive spirit made it a memorable day for everyone involved.
