Term 2, 2026

We are incredibly proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of Year 11 student, Molly Sawyer, following a series of exceptional performances across major rowing events.
Molly competed in the Head of the Schoolgirls’ Regatta in Geelong, where she began with a strong win in Heat 7 of the Female School Single Scull and finished the regatta outstandingly, claiming first place in the B Final with a time of 6:42.38.
Molly achieved a significant milestone at the Victorian State Rowing Championships in Ballarat, where she was crowned State Champion in challenging, windy conditions. This outstanding result highlights her ability to perform at an elite level, even under pressure, and against strong competition from established rowing schools.

Following her success in Geelong, Molly travelled to Tasmania to compete in the Australian National Rowing Championships at Lake Barrington. Competing against a strong field, she achieved an impressive second place in the B Final. It was wonderful to see her race streamed live, with commentators acknowledging both Molly and Dromana College.
Molly’s 2026 rowing campaign now boasts her ranking as the 10th fastest schoolgirl single sculler in Australia and 3rd in Victoria. Her commitment to the sport, resilience, and ability to perform at such a high level are truly inspiring. Congratulations, Molly!
