On the last day of first term, our students travelled together through the powerful story of Holy Week, moving thoughtfully through the key moments of Jesus’ final days.

We began with Palm Sunday, recalling Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem. The children reflected on the joy of the crowds who welcomed Him with palms and shouts of praise.

On Holy Thursday, we remembered the Washing of the Feet, where Jesus showed His friends that true leadership is found in humble service. Students considered how they, too, can serve others with kindness in their daily lives..

We then reflected on The Last Supper, when Jesus shared bread and wine with His disciples and gave us the gift of the Eucharist. This helped students understand the deep love and meaning behind this sacred meal.

In The Garden of Gethsemane, the children paused with Jesus in His sadness and fear, recognising His trust in God even when things felt difficult. They connected this moment to times when they need courage and comfort.

The journey continued with The Betrayal, where Jesus was handed over by one of His closest friends. Students explored themes of loyalty, forgiveness, and the challenges of staying true to what is right.

On Good Friday, we reflected on The Crucifixion, remembering Jesus’ great love shown through His suffering on the cross. The children entered into the quiet and solemnity of this moment with great reverence.

Finally, we arrived at The Burial in the Tomb, a time of stillness and waiting. Students reflected on the hope that even in darkness, God is preparing something new.

This journey through Holy Week allowed our school community to enter more deeply into the story of Jesus’ love, sacrifice, and the promise of new life that we celebrate at Easter.
