The Easter Season

Gallery Image

Although the shops pack away their Easter eggs and decorations soon after Easter Sunday, the Catholic Church continues to rejoice in the hope and promise of the Resurrection.

For us as Catholics, Easter is not a single day but a whole season of celebration. The Easter Season—often called Eastertide—lasts for 50 days, beginning on Easter Sunday and concluding with the great feast of Pentecost, when the Holy Spirit came upon the Apostles (Acts 2:1–31).

During this joyful season we also mark Divine Mercy Sunday and the Ascension of the Lord, both important moments in our liturgical year.

As a school community, we remain in this spirit of hope, new life, and joy as we journey through the Easter Season together.

A Prayer for the Easter Season

Loving God,

Thank you for the joy of Easter and the new life Jesus brings.

Help us to notice the signs of hope around us each day.

Fill our hearts with peace, kindness, and courage,

so we can share Your love with others.

Send Your Holy Spirit to guide our school community

as we learn, grow, and care for one another.

We ask this in Jesus’ name.

Amen.
