It's been a big month in July for sport at LC!

State Netball Championships

On Tuesday 28 July, 77 students and 7 coaches travelled to Cobblebank Stadium in Melton to compete in the Victorian School State Netball Championships. It was a highly competitive and successful day, with both our Senior and Intermediate teams progressing through to the finals, to be held in Melbourne later in the year, while our Junior team finished an impressive second in their division. Congratulations to all players for their commitment and performances throughout the day. A special thank you to Ms Kate Martin for the enormous amount of work involved in organising and preparing our teams for this fantastic event.

BAS Road Relay

Congratulations to our BAS Road Relay Team on taking out the Girls Aggregate in the first of the 2026 Cross Country events on 15 July at Victoria Park.  Our team of runners ran incredibly well, taking out first place in the Junior A and B, Intermediate A, Senior A and B events, and placing second in the Intermediate B event!  We were also able to field additional strong teams in the C division at both junior and senior level, with teams placing first and second in both events! Congratulations to all involved! Big thanks to Ms Naomi Russell for leading this event.

Grace Heads to the USA

We also extend our best wishes to Grace, who departed last week for the USA to compete at the U20 World Athletics Championships. Grace will proudly represent Australia in the 4 x 100m relay, and we look forward to following her progress on the world stage.

World Cup Bronze Medal for Eliza 

Finally, we congratulate Eliza on her outstanding achievement of winning a bronze medal with Australia at the FIBA Under-17 Women's Basketball World Cup in Czechia. Representing your country at a world tournament is an incredible accomplishment, and we are immensely proud of Eliza's success.
