Class Placements for 2027

Planning for 2027 class placements is now underway. Families have received a letter outlining the class placement process and, for eligible students, the opportunity to nominate four students from the same year level whom they would like their child to be considered for placement with in 2027.

All families, with the exception of Reception students who commenced in Term 3 2026, are asked to complete the Class Placement form by Friday 11 September 2026.

Families who wish to provide additional information for the school to consider as part of the class placement process may do so in writing via email to the school by Friday 25 September 2026, the last day of Term 3.

Please note that we do not accept requests for individual teachers. All previous class placement requests also do not carry forward to the following year and must be resubmitted each year.

We appreciate families taking the time to provide accurate information to support the class placement process. While we will endeavour to place students with at least one of their nominated friends, placements cannot be guaranteed due to the many factors considered when creating balanced and equitable classes.

Reception families – please note:

• Reception students who commenced in Term 3 2025 or Term 1 2026 are required to complete the form and nominate four students.

• Reception students who commenced in Term 3 2026 are not required to complete the friendship selection at this stage.

Students who commenced Reception in Term 3 2026 will receive a Class Placement letter in Week 1 of Term 4. This provides these students with additional time to develop and explore friendships within their new class and gives teachers the opportunity to talk with students/families about which children will be continuing in Reception in 2027.
