Attendance

EVERY DAY COUNTS & EVERY MINUTE MATTERS -

SO, IT'S NOT OK TO BE AWAY

We understand that at times it may be necessary for your child to leave school early or arrive late. We do ask that appointments are made outside of school hours wherever possible in order to minimise the interruption to student learning and maximise their time at school.

Late Arrivals and Early Collection of Children

Every now and then it is good to clarify expectations around what to do when your child is late arriving or needs to depart early.

Below is a summary for our processes for your reference:

Late arrival:

If your child is late to school, please:

  • Come to the office with them and sign them in by speaking to one of our office staff (students who do not have a parent with them have an unexplained lateness unless a parent clarifies).

Early departures (does not include normal pick up times):

If, for some reason, your child needs to leave school early:

  • Come to the office and speak with one of our staff. If you are unfamiliar to them, please don’t be alarmed if they ask you a couple of questions (they’re checking for your child’s safety).
  • Our staff will call through to the classroom and have your child sent up with their belongings and some buddies to the office.
  • Where possible, please try to call ahead and we can arrange for your child to come to the office with their bag and speed things up for you.
