Together We Walk - Opening the Doors Fundraising Event

At St Augustine's we are part of the FIRE (Friends Igniting Reconciliation in Education) Carrier Program, facilitated by the Opening the Doors Foundation. The dream of the FIRE Carrier program is to promote respect, fairness, and inclusion for First Nations People in Education.

As part of our commitment, we fundraise each year to support the Opening Doors Foundation. The Foundation is a First Nations-run grass-roots organisation which supports First Nations students across Victoria to attend the school of their choice with all necessary supplies.

This year we are participating in the Together We Walk Event. As a whole school, students are invited to wear casual clothes in the colours of the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Island flags of Friday 2nd August and participate in a walk together as a school around the grounds - displaying banners promoting reconciliation.

Donations can be made via the fundraising page below or through gold coins on the day.

St A's Games

To get into the spirit of the Paris Games, we are holding our own Olympic competition at school. They will begin with a short opening ceremony on Tuesday afternoon and will run until Friday 9th of August. Students are invited to wear house colours on this day.

Students will complete a range of activities in their classrooms.
